Universal Molding continues to build on our solid reputation for precision aluminum extruding. Our 900-ton up to 3,600-ton extrusion presses produce a wide assortment of shapes and sizes, based on your custom specifications.

Our alloys include:

  • 6061 – Recommended when additional strength, rather than critical finish, is a consideration.
  • 6063 – Popular, all-purpose extrusion alloy recommended when the surface finish is critical or when the material is to be anodized. This alloy performs well for intricate shapes because it machines and forms especially well.
  • 6005 – Offers excellent corrosion resistance, with good finishing characteristics, and efficiently handles common anodizing methods.
  • 6351 – Recommended for increased product strength, when high ductility is not a requirement.
  • 6463 – Often heat treated to produce higher strength tempers with lower ductility, this soft extrusion alloy is popular for many indoor architectural uses.

We can extrude lengths up to 53 feet, and we have the capacity to extrude hollow shapes up to 8-inch circle size and solids to 12-inch circle diameter. A member of our professional team will be happy to discuss your specific requirements with you.
